Thanks to my buddies in Pour @ 4...

I have learned about Farm Shed in Buckley, a hop skip and flight from our home.

But first....

My neighbors on the cul-de-sac where Bob and I have lived now for almost a year (Labor Day will be our anniversary) are singles and couples living in 16 homes including ours. What a fine group of neighbors we got! Latte Sundays, holiday street picnics, Fancy Drink Fridays, and weekly 90-minute gatherings in our rotating homes for the women for drinks, snacks, and visiting. It's come when you can, no pressure. We bring our own glass of what we're drinking (some bring wine or something mixed, some bring non-alcoholic) and the week's hostess puts out eats (and sometimes a special concoction).  Here's the best thing, and you may not believe me, but it's true. (It's true!) We find so much to talk about that we don 't talk gossip, religion, or politics! I don't know that there was ever those rules decided upon before I came on the scene, but that's how it has developed; and it's quite nice to be free of all, especially in these combative days.

I got the official glass when we moved in...

The hostess this week had a good-sized gift card she generously shared with us so that we could have our weekly seminar at the Farm Shed. They spotlight local wines and encourage flights of 3 or 5.

They also sponsor events, like food truck Saturdays, so Bob and I tried the one yesterday and had some tasty oh-so-not-good for you Polish dogs.

Saturday at the Food Truck Dogs event. Good to see them busy.
