Oh, the days of double-headers. I do miss 'em.

Today is the anniversary of Ernie Banks's birthday. I painted these when he died in 2015. I have many favorite Cubs, past and present, but Ernie is my hero. Even as a child, I understood grace and humility and knew it when I saw it. We could all use more of that grace and graciousness, never mind his talent. You did good, Number 14.
