Jeannie and I are taking a 3-day workshop in Gloucester Mass before our road trip.

Waiting to depart to the Atlantic coast...

Waiting for Jeannie's long-delayed flight from Chicago...

We had a day to roam before our class. Mostly, we loved Rockport.

Yesterday, we began our artistic encaustic adventure.

And we roamed Manchester By The Sea and Essex. 

Spring has taken a long time to arrive in these parts and the trees have barely begun to grow their green. But the magnolias have arrived in their best finery.

And the tulips are magnificent. 

Today, we became experts -haha - but I will not tell you more because it is none of your beeswax. 

And our instructor showed us how to make alcohol ink with a bit of Vodka and some charcoal. 

...and when we were finished, we went here to have some more alcohol, conversation, the ocean, and the local feathers.
