Catching Up

I want to report to you that I have been (mostly) diligent so far with my Daily Animal Cracker. I say (mostly) because I’m also having a blast in the studio with my arty friend Carol while we enjoy our biannual Bonney Lake One Red Chair Studio Art Retreat. We’re watching some videos from online classes we’ve joined, learning some new ways to approach our art and trying them out, having some good food for fuel, and, as always, playing games. What a hoot. Carol braved snow on the mountains to get here, so we are relishing every moment.

Here are a few things we’ve worked on

Samples we made as we followed along a Toni Burt class. Now to use this technique (loose watercolor and sketch) for my own design. Stay tuned.

I love making my own papers and collage material. This is a series of “naturals” inspired by Laura Horn class.

…and here are the Animal Crackers I’ve posted on Instagram (almost) daily. Read my most recent post if all of that leaves you asking, “What in the world is she talking about?”
