An Inktober Challenge for Moi

In addition to futzing with the upcoming 2021 calendar, I have taken on the Inktober project from the They Draw and Travel /Cook/Garden series. It just seems like the year to do it. I'm going to try to participate each day of the 31 days in October. I've completed the 1st 6 days and in multiple categories (they draw/they cook/they travel), so I am patting myself on the back. Here a few so far; after this, I will post a week's worth but you can also find all of them on my Instagram site. This is my first “Inktober.” Some are done on paper and quoted with the Procreate app; some are done directly digitally. We shall see how it goes.

(Inktober is an annual event that several sites host with prompts for each day to encourage daily drawing. Prompts vary by site, and one is always encouraged to draw anything if the prompt doesn’t inspire.)

In other news:

Paris museums make 100K images for unrestricted public use.

Artists fill the bleak streets of a locked-down Seattle with vibrancy and life. (Unlike other tales you may have heard about my sort-of home town.)

Cityscapes made from old denim jeans.

I'll be announcing the theme of the new calendar in a couple of weeks, with a preview video to follow shortly after. (Won’t we all be glad to see 2020 go away?) A reminder: mailing list subscribers will have an early bird pricing opportunity. Watch for it.
