Like words that shape poems...

Miro is not my favorite artist; I am selective about what I enjoy of his. Often his work reminds me of Picasso, another artist that doesn’t often stir my soul. I have to tell you, though, that creating a few pieces replicating his style of unusual geometric shapes, stems, spots, spatters, drops, wandering lines, and fill-in-the-spaces color, it was hard to stop. It was fun. I also appreciate that the placement of things is not as random as it may appear to be. I often knew instantly where I should have put that line instead of where I did. There is an instinctive balance quality to his compositions; of course, that’s what makes all these great artists better than you and me. Well, me, anyway!

I had not seen this video before I created a Miro garden. I rather like mine as well, but this is darn cute.

Lastly….

This is not about Miro but it is one last thing to brighten your day. Cheers!
