Another Friday Five.
1
Definitely on my travel list is the largest exhibition of picture book illustrations. This is why I collect wonderfully illustrated picture books. Go here and enjoy: https://www.mazzamuseum.org.
2
Read about this interesting woman.
“I think everyone’s story is very important. There is so much diversity,” Soskin said. “It’s in that mix that the great secret of a democracy exists.”
3
A screenshot from Facebook. It just tickled my fancy.

Have you seen The Chair with Sandra Oh? Maybe being a former educator made it interesting to me, but I think it not a requirement to enjoy it.
As i’ve mentioned before, a redesign of the website and blog is in the close future, but has kept me from blogging as usual as I do. As long as I have played with web design (this is probably close to my dozenth iteration), I gotta say, this one has been the most challenging for me, partly because I don’t know what I want! Elegance? Simplicity? Wittiness? Light-hearted? Stay tuned.

But first, I have a road trip to Maine with my travel bud Jeannie. Next week. I am always optimistic that I can post from on the road and hardly ever do (it‘s harder than it looks ), but who knows? Life is full of surprises.
Here’s a little do-dad I put together called Textures on the Road from our recent road trip to Denver. Five state', lots of nature’s texture (and a few man-made ones) : Washington, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and Oregon.
It seems I have a crush on textures and patterns. Here’s a video from the pre-COVID years, Textures of Lopez. (Life is sort of divided into pre-COVID and now-quite-there-yet-post-COVID.)
