News flash.
News flash: Summer love, needing to be outdoors, beat inside studio time today. It’s a bit hot here this week, not the beautiful weather of last week, but in the shade, quite do-able for sitting outside. I know I’ve said it before here, but I am passionate about summer, always have been since my sidewalk roller-skating days, and I crave being out there where the summer action is. You know…finches fluttering about, butterflies, honeybees, daisies, blue skies, white fluffy clouds, and - here in the Pacific Northwest anyway - few bugs and no humidity. Perfect. You should visit us in the summer and fall in love.
Which is to say, nothing new today, but I’m posting a few of my “Inktober” series from the pandemic year. I participated in the They Draw and Cook 30-day Inktober. I posted them to Instagram. It was up to us to choose from They Draw and Cook, They Draw and Travel, or They Draw and Garden, and I did a little of each.
Do you know about They Draw and Cook? It’s an online site with real coobooks of illustrated recipes. Much fun. They also have illustrated maps from people all over the world (They Draw and Travel) and an accompanying book or two. They add to their site every week, so there’s always something new. Maybe you’ll find an illustrated map of your favorite place. Links at the bottom. Check them out - lots of visual candy and inspiration!
