My lovely friend Carol’s journey with cancer was so short but progressed so quickly. Ever the positive person, she was confident it could be beat, until it became clear that it couldn’t. We have all been stunned by how quickly we have lost the battle.

Below is the card I intended to send her just a few days ago, but, still, too late.
