New shoes cure the blues.

So they say.

These are my newest shoes and seem to fit into the citrus fruit mode I have been in lately.

It rained all day today and April is indeed turning out to be a month of showers. No complaints here, though, while the middle of our country is in dire straits as I write this. I hope if you live in the “cyclone” zone, this finds you safe.

The new art today is the shoes, but here’s a favorite of mine from a trip to Paris a few years back. We watched this little girl dance and play with her pink umbrella for a long time while the adults chatted over wine. I remember those moments well. Because I sketched them!

Let the rain kiss you.

Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops.

Let the rain sing you a lullaby.

The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk.

The rain makes running pools in the gutter.

The rain plays a little sleep-song on our roof at night -

And I love the rain.
