The subject I know best.
There are dozens of videos, articles, and books about this passionate and influential artist of the early 20th century. Most people know that she survived debilitating sicknesses and traumatic accidents that caused health problems throughout her life; that she was ardent about social issues and women’s rights; that she had a passionate but turbulent relationship with Diego Rivera, her husband - who she married twice; and that her colorful artistic style in her work and dress was unique and has made her a cultural icon. Her work was autobiographical and introspective and includes 55 self-portraits.
Here are my favorite videos to share with you her life and work. A short summary:

Frida was the first artist from Latin America to have work displayed in French society - at the Louvre.
