Noting.
Today, (I am writing this on the 24th of January), the one-year notice of my dear friend Carol’s passing. I wrote about it here. I miss her every day.
Carol and I on the last day of one of our several art (and board games) camps. So. much. fun.
I am still drawing and carving every day in January, and perhaps beyond. I enjoy it, but admittedly, January is cold, gray, and doesn’t offer a whole lot of other things. I entertain myself very easily and like the break from busy schedules and outdoor activities. The mornings are cold (20s and 30s) but they do warm up enough to take a late afternoon walk. Beats what’s going on in other parts of the world.
I make art to stay sane in this political environment. Here are this week’s entries.
February is around the corner. Time for a poem or two (or 28). Many of you participate in the February Poemfest. This will be the 4th year. Each day, receive a poem (sometimes mine) illustrated by me in your email. You have to sign up for it unless you are already a participant. More later; watch for it in the next few days.
Some poems from previous years:
